26” Outsider Disc; smaller people unite! (even kids) 08-16-10
Many people come to us and ask for a bike that fits, has no toe overlap and has a ‘normal’ length stem. Well this is pretty much impossible with a 700c bike. Now with a race bike it’s OK to have some toe overlap as it only rears it’s head on really tight low speed turns such as turning around in a parking lot, but for some commuters no toe overlap is key when you’ve got a loaded bike and you’re weaving through traffic downtown.
So we worked with Matt at Counterbalance and put together this 26” Outsider for one of his customers. Why 26” you ask? Well that tire size is available EVERYWHERE; as are the tubes. We tried to make the proportions work with the size, everything still looks right. This also means that yes, we can do kids
bikes.

HI, Can i have one? I am 5’1 and want a bike that fits.
never had one lol..well my bmx kinda fits but it is so fun I don’t care.
You will get bored with this note sorry..Any way I am 54 and !/2
years old and currently have my gt pro series team bmx like 1992
vintage
when gt was still rockin um out in cali , a Specialized Safire 5 inch trail
bike, a Salsa casseroll triple yuk on the triple, but nice bike I ride it like
a cyclocross bike in the state park near where i live..and, i just bought
a scapel feminine ! with xo and blah blah blah fanciness…
Point of all this,, none of these bike fit me right….Thus i hang out on
the bmx mostly….So I am thinking that If i had a custom outsider built
with proper geo and fit I could actually buzz around pretty quick.
I might go flatbar like that stunning xx bike you built but i would like
to try a fast drop bar bike for a change, With super lite wheels,
Industry Nines maybe? Discs maybe, but I cant run campy with discs
I dont think..Bored yet?
I am just a bike freakess open to suggestions for wheels etc..Or any
thing else you can think of to help us make the coolest little bike this
girl has ever ridden….Maybe you can build me a bike with a zen soul..
Thanks, Kimberly
