Custom Outsider w/ Sram XX 05-01-10
A customer working with Counterbalance Bicycles in the U-district put together this build. We started with an Outsider but set out to make the ultimate ‘flat bar’ commuter build. The customer lives at the top of a steep hill and he wanted it to be light with low gearing. The easy answer was Sram XX, it’s light, it works fabulously and look great. After navigating Sram’s 18 sku’s for the XX front derailleur the parts went on the bike. I think the grips were heavier than the cassette which is really a sight to behold. Take a Sram Red cassette and make it awesomer and that’s the XX. The polished accents on all the XX parts went great with the white industries hubs and the new stainless head tube badge.
